Window on Winterslow enters its fifth edition! This village directory, produced by the Management Committee of the Village Hall, continues to grow. The variety of opportunities for all age groups in our community is really superb. Arriving as a newcomer myself to the village at the end of 2000, I was, and have continued to be, pleasantly surprised to discover how many interests and pastimes are covered. Unfortunately time does not allow one to indulge in all the activities – if only! On the other hand I would be amazed if anyone could not find something to their taste. Although, should that be the case, there is every hope that you would start up something new – there’s bound to be other like-minded people who would join you. Communities grow and develop according to the creative input from the comings and goings of its members. Village life depends and thrives on the sort of welcome, care and commitment that is shown in these groups. Your involvement as an old ‘Winterslownian’ or a relative newcomer is highly desired, if not essential. They say that you only get out what you put in and Winterslow has much to offer because there are so many interesting and willing people here. It is an exciting place to live as anyone reading ‘Window on Winterslow’ can see. May you also find it so!
