We can help you with: Transport to a hospital or clinic. Writing a letter or filling in a form. Providing a meal. A visit if lonely or housebound. Exercising or feeding your dog or cat. Fetching library books, shopping or prescriptions. Providing relief from elderly or disabled relatives. Helping someone recently discharged from hospital. Performing small jobs around the house.

You can help us by: Joining our group of Good Neighbour volunteers. Providing transport to hospitals etc. Visiting the lonely or housebound. Collecting shopping, prescriptions etc. Doing small jobs around the house or garden. Befriending someone lonely or in need. Helping with any other task shown on the left. *** Link volunteers receive a mileage allowance and any out of pocket expenses. What is the LINK scheme
LINK is a team of local volunteers who help with the community by
offering care and transport to people in need.
They support and complement Local Community Health and
Social Services but are not intended to replace them.
LINK is organised by a committee of local people
who oversee the general running of the scheme.
LINK is a registered charity and receives grants from many
statutory bodies including Health and Social Services.
Funds are also raised from local events such as the Christmas Craft Fayre.
Although no charge is made for services given, we are always grateful
for a donation from those we are able to help, particularly for transport.
